This September, the graphene and 2D materials community will come together in Porto, Portugal, for Graphene Week 2026, taking place from 21-25 September. As Europe’s flagship conference for graphene and other two-dimensional materials, Graphene Week brings together researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to explore the latest developments shaping the field – from fundamental research and new materials to scalable technologies and real-world applications. With more than 500 participants expected, the Graphene Week will offer a packed programme of plenary and keynote talks, technical sessions, poster presentations, industry and innovation forums, and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues from across academia and industry.
The 2D-PRINTABLE community will be strongly represented throughout the week, with several of our partners contributing to the scientific programme.
We are particularly looking forward to invited talks from Jonathan Coleman (TCD), Paolo Samorì (UNISTRA), Francesco Bonaccorso (BeD), Zdenek Šofer (VSCHT), and Claudia Backes (UKa), bringing together perspectives from across the 2D materials landscape.
Francesco Bonaccorso (BeD) will also take part in the Innovation Forum, addressing a question that is increasingly central to the future of advanced materials: how can graphene and other 2D materials move beyond the laboratory and into real-world products?
Graphene Week 2026 promises a dynamic mix of high-level science, emerging technologies and industry perspectives, with a strong emphasis on bringing people and ideas together. For the 2D-PRINTABLE partners, it will be an opportunity not only to share the latest results from our work, but also to exchange ideas, meet new collaborators and explore the next steps towards printable, scalable 2D-material technologies.
